Production Meeting 3

Production Meeting 3

During this meeting we discussed what we need to film next. We decided that we needed to do some filming in the park. We also discussed any precautions we have to take to make sure the singer isn't too cold, so we confirmed details about what the singer should ware to make sure she is comfortable and warm.

We also talked about the equipment we would have to use - We will need a dolly to do a tracking shot of the singer walking across a bridge.

We discussed how the location that we are filming in next will make our singer look. We want her to look lonely but powerful.

Production Meeting 2

Production Meeting 2

In our second production meeting we decided that we would change what we filmed because the male actor could not make the filming meetings. We talked about showing the abusive relationship that she was in by using close up shots of bruises on the girls skin. We then decided on the date of our next filming meeting and decided on details and different shots for the re-filming.

Storyboard & Animatic

Storyboard

It is quite difficult to create a storyboard as i know that there may be changes that i want to make to the final piece as there will be extra footage that i would like to use that is not in the storyboard. There are a few images in the storyboard that will be repeated when i create the Animatic for this storyboard, that's why in the image below you can see "3 again" written on the sheet.

Audience Research

Audience Research

Audience research is an important aspect of our planning for our music video. Gathering other peoples ideas has a great impact as it helps our group to come up with different, more creative ideas for our music video.
We did a number of different activities to collect ideas and get different perspectives on our song.

Firstly, we played our song to our class and they answered four questions on a slip of paper.

The questions were:

1- What five words do you think of when you hear this song?
2- What do you imagine the singer of this song looks like?
3- What colour do you think of when you hear this song?
4- What kind of scene do you imagine seeing?

Below is a summary of some of the words they wrote down.

We then asked the girls in our class what they though of our idea for the music video, because they fit in the target audience, here are some of the quotes:

- "i like the idea about it because it shows that girls can do what they want to do, however she might feel guilty at the end because she killed her boyfriend." - Gemma

- "An interesting amplification of a love song - a unique take on the stereotypical conventions seen in "love" songs or in this case "not quite love" songs." - Megan

- "a bit messed up, a cool idea." - Victoria

"i like the fact that the idea for this music video incorporates the lyrics but doesn't mirror it exactly the same, shows another perspective." - Chloe
